You have a number of rights under the Data Protection Regulation because we process your personal data. These rights are described below.
2.1 As registered, you have the following rights:
Right to access:
You can gain insight into the information we process about you and the purposes for which we process the information.
Right to rectification:
In cases where the information we store and process about you is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to have it corrected.
Right to erasure:
In most cases, you can have the information we store and process about you deleted. However, there are exceptions where we are required by law to store the information. If you request deletion, we will always inform you of the basis if we cannot delete them.
Right to object:
You can object to us processing your information.
Right to data portability:
You can have the information we process about you transferred to yourself or transferred to another provider.
Right to restriction:
You have the right to request restriction of processing of the information we store and process about you.
Right to withdraw your consent:
If we process your information on the basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time.

3. The purpose of our processing of personal data
Softworld collects and processes personal data for specific purposes. Below you can see which personal data Softworld processes and for which purposes. Purpose and legal basis will be disclosed when collecting personal data.
When ordering on the website:
When you complete an order on our website, we process your information with the aim of being able to deliver the ordered service.
When using the website:
When you use our website, we collect information about how you use the site. This use includes research and analysis aimed at improving our products and services, as well as displaying content and advertisements tailored to your interests.
When signing up for newsletters:
When you sign up for our newsletters, we process your information in order to send you relevant newsletters with blog posts, information about new courses or other marketing related to our services and products.
When filling out the contact form:
When you fill in a contact form, we process your information in order to fulfill the purpose for which you filled in the form.
Targeted marketing:
We use the information we collect to be able to present the most relevant offers and information to you.

When we ask you to make your personal data available to us, we inform you about which data we process about you and for what purpose. You receive information about this at the time of collection of your personal data and must give us your consent for the processing of personal data before we can collect and store your specified data.
Your consent is voluntary and you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.
4. Personal information that may be collected and processed
As a user of Softworld’s website, you are anonymous. This means that we cannot automatically identify a user of the website. We can only know you by the fact that you have manually filled in your name and email address, e.g. if you book a course, sign up for the newsletter, pick up a sample or fill in a contact form. This information is stored on a secure server via the marketing system HubSpot.
4.1 Personal information processed by Softworld is categorized as follows:
Sensitive information:
We do not process any sensitive information and it is not permitted to enter sensitive information on our website. If we still receive these, they will be deleted.
General information:
We only process general information about you, such as:
Administrative information:
Eg. name, email address, phone number, company, job title, address and stated interests. This data is collected if you e.g. order a course, fill in a contact form, register for an event or download material.
Information about use of our website:
Eg. which blog posts you read and how many times you visit the website. We use this information to make your experience of the website more relevant and targeted to your interests, as well as to provide us with statistics on use of the website. We can only do this if you have manually entered your email address via a form and accepted the use of cookies on the website.
Data collected via cookies:
Like so many other companies, we also use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that are placed in your browser when you visit websites.
Personal information is never given to third parties, unless you yourself expressly consent to this, and we never collect personal information without you having given us this information yourself when registering, purchasing or participating in a survey, etc. Here, information that you enter yourself can be collected, such as e.g. name, address, postcode, email, interests and knowledge of various subjects.
4.2 We only process relevant personal data
We only process data about you that is relevant and sufficient in relation to the purposes defined above. The purpose is decisive for which type of data about you is relevant to us. The same applies to the extent of the personal data we use. We use e.g. no more data than we need for the specific purpose.
We collect, process and store only the personal data that is necessary in connection with fulfilling our stated purposes. In addition, the type of data that is necessary to collect and store for our business operations may be determined by law. The type and extent of the personal data we process may also be necessary to fulfill a contract or other legal obligation.
This happens when we need to send you information about our company, or share general knowledge about courses, news and/or products with you. Before we process personal data about you, we ensure that you are informed about this and that you have been informed about the purpose and basis for processing.
Anonymous user tests
We carry out anonymous user tests on this page, where individual information about our visitors’ navigation, clicks and movements with the mouse are sent in encrypted form to the web service Mouseflow with a view to improving the user experience here on the website.

5. Processing basis for your personal data
We collect and store your data in connection with certain purposes or other legitimate business purposes. The legal basis for processing personal data may be for us to be able to fulfill an agreement or a contract, to comply with applicable legislation or because we have obtained your consent.

When purchasing on the website:
When you make a purchase on our website, we process your information on the legitimate basis that we are obliged to process and store the information cf. the Accounting Act’s §7 accuracy of registration and §10 information must be stored for 5 years.
When using the website:
When you use our website, we collect information about how you use the site. We ask for consent to the use of cookies and it is this consent that is our legitimate basis for processing, cf. Article 6 paragraph of the Personal Data Regulation. 1, letter a.
When signing up for newsletters:
When you sign up for a newsletter, we process your information on the basis of the consent you give when you sign up, cf. article 6 paragraph of the personal data regulation. 1, letter a.
When filling out the contact form:
When you fill in a contact form, we process your information on the basis of the consent you give before you can submit the form, cf. Article 6 subsection of the Personal Data Regulation. 1, letter a.
When downloading guides or samples:
When you fill in a form to download a sample, guide or e-book, we process your information based on the consent you give when you enter your information, cf. the personal data regulation, article 6 paragraph. 1, letter a.
Targeted marketing:
We use the information we collect to be able to present the most relevant offers and information to you. We do this on the basis of the consent you give when accepting cookies, cf. article 6 paragraph of the personal data regulation. 1, letter a.
When accepting cookies:
When you accept cookies, you consent to us placing cookies and collecting the information that you have been informed about. 6. We check and update your personal data
We check that the personal data we process about you is not incorrect or misleading. We also make sure to update your personal data on an ongoing basis.
As our service depends on your data being correct and up-to-date, we ask that you inform us of any relevant changes to your data.

7.2 Deletion and validity
Softworld stores and processes personal data as submitted in connection with a declaration of consent, as long as there is processing authority, unless one of the following applies, after which personal data will be deleted:
Declaration of consent has been withdrawn
Information has been submitted incorrectly, and it has not been possible to identify the registered person in order to have the information settled and corrected
The company no longer provides the service or performance that requires treatment and for which this consent has been given
8. We do not pass on your personal data without your consent
If we pass on your personal data to business partners and other parties, i.e. for marketing purposes, we obtain your consent and inform you of what your data will be used for. You can object to this type of disclosure at any time.

9. We protect your personal data and have internal rules on information security
We have adopted internal rules on information security, which contain instructions and measures that protect your personal data from being destroyed, lost or altered, from unauthorized disclosure, and from unauthorized access or knowledge of it.
9.1 Transfer to third countries
We transfer information to third countries in the following cases:
When subscribing to newsletters and when purchasing via the website, information is transferred to our supplier, HubSpot, which is located in the USA. HubSpot has joined the EU US Privacy Shield, which the EU Commission has decided is a sufficient security measure. We have entered into a data processing agreement with HubSpot, which provides the necessary and sufficient guarantees for security.

To help us distribute various codes and scripts on the website, e.g. above-mentioned Google Analytics, we use Google Tag Manager, which sets a cookie to store information about the current visit to the website.
Google’s Advertising Network
We use cookies from Google to be able to target marketing to website visitors via Google’s advertising network.
